Wanda Needs a Haircut
Brigitte Stanton
Illustrated by Maia Batumashvili
A little witch is afraid to get a haircut because she thinks it will hurt, but her hat suggests a hair treatment instead of a haircut.
Wanda the little witch is very afraid of having a haircut because she is sure it will hurt her curls. Her hat, who is very concerned about Wanda’s growing, growing, growing hair, has a wonderful idea. She suggests a “hair treatment” instead in this amusing story with lyrical language about finding creative solutions and overcoming fear of getting a haircut.
- Shows children who are reluctant or afraid to get a haircut that there is nothing to be worried about.
- Lyrical language with pleasing staccato rhythms.
- Colourful, playful illustrations that will engage children, allowing them to identify and connect with the characters and story.
