The Blustery Day

Christopher Michaels

Oat and Barley build a kite but when they go to fly it, the blustery wind takes Oat with it.

On a blustery day, Oat and Barley decide to fly a kite. Though Barley worries it’s a bit too windy for kite flying, Oat is enthusiastic and takes the lead. Together they build it but when they go to fly it, the wind whips tiny Oat up and into the air. The kite carries Oat all around until landing him right back home. Maybe it was too windy, Oat admits as the friends are reunited. But when it calms, Oat’s got another great idea to try…

  • An exciting story about a bad-weather day to capture a child’s imagination
