The Possum in the Pool
Dr Anne-Maree Eyles
Illustrated by Francesca Corso
When Baby Possum is lost, he is rescued by a young girl–but how will he find his way back to his mother?
In the dark of night, Baby Possum snuggles into his mother’s pouch. But when a sudden cry pierces the air, Mother Possum flees—and Baby Possum falls into a backyard pool. Alone and afraid, he’s rescued by a young girl named Ruby and her family. Wrapped in warmth and kindness, Baby Possum must be brave, even though his heart longs for home. The Possum in the Pool is a tender and uplifting story of resilience, empathy, and the enduring love between Baby Possum and his mother. Beautifully illustrated, this story celebrates the unique beauty of Australian wildlife.
