Katie Smith has been writing stories since she could hold a pencil. She studied journalism but found a career as an early childhood and arts teacher a far better excuse for dressing up in costumes and reading picture books every day. She loves cooking, gardening, painting and drawing. Katie lives near the beach north of Brisbane, Australia with her husband, children Harrison and Charlotte, her dog Willow and the memory of Charlie (who never found out he was a dog).
