Kate Church, born in Toronto, graduated from Seneca College and Royal Roads University. She is a passionate hobbyist writer of highly relatable and socially abundant children's books. After dreaming about surfing for over 20 years, Kate finally learned in 2023 while in Costa Rica. This adventure inspired her to write her first book, Sophie Loved Surfing. Kate now lives in Vancouver, where you can find her surfing, writing and fulfilling more of her childhood dreams.
