Dr Hannah Mikkonen is a mum of twin boys and is an environmental scientist with a PhD in environmental engineering. Hannah is passionate about celebrating Australian nature and enjoys adventures with her kids (between the tantrums and the snack breaks). Hannah began writing poetry as a child, writing from her favourite spot on the roof of her family's weatherboard home in central Victoria, Australia. She has since written multiple scientific papers (although not from the roof).
